Making Instead of Buying

I saw this necklace a while back on the J.Crew website and loved it

but let's be honest

there's no way I was going to be paying $138.00 for it.

so I decided to make my own.

I had some of this laying around 

and thought to myself...that'll work

So I made the blue and yellow bits

baked them 'till they were done

bought some Swarovski crystals from Michaels to sparkle it up

it's not exactly the same color wise 

and all the shapes aren't exactly the same

but I really like how it came out

and overall I paid about 10 bucks for everything

not too shabby. 

(Maybe I'll post a picture of it on so you can see better...but for now this will have to do)
